Have you ever noticed, that small kids starting their journey of school are burdened with heavy bags? We try to cram them with ABCD and number system in their initial level of curriculum. Is that the right approach?

According to Dr Tan Aimei, Children’s education should begin with 3Hs as Head (knowledge and skills), Heart (values and emotions) and Hands (participation and contribution). The 3H framework helps students think about what they are doing and learning. It helps them to learn by doing.

For example, the 3H approach at Si Ling Primary School helps students develop the ability to think creatively and critically in solving environmental problems, communicate and work effectively in teams, and have a strong conviction in bettering the environment.

Along similar lines, we at ThinkNow Classroom focus on a framework which makes students break free from conventional form of learning and ideate solutions to any problem thrown at them in real-life. Please let us know your thoughts.
